What is ZoneAlert and how does it work?
What is ZoneAlert and how does it work?
ZoneManager is used to define zones (rectangles) on the chart, so when price reaches the zone an MT4 Alert and/or Mobile (iOS/Android) notification is generated.
ZoneManager is an MT4 indicator which must be installed in the MT4 Indicators folder.
Step 1: Place the ZoneManager indicator on a chart.
Step 2: Configure the email and ActivationCode in the indicator’s parameters. This information is in the Activation email you received. Please check your Spam folder if you are having trouble locating the Activation email.
Step 3: The fun starts! Place rectangle object on the chart. You can modify its name to something meaningful (e.g.: "Top Zone" or "Storng support" or "Time to buy", whatever you like). No need to specify the instrument name, as anyway it will be part of the notification message. Multiple zones can be placed on each chart of course.
Step 4: In the initial version we had a double-click fucntionality to activate the zone. With later releases we decided to change the ZoneAlert logic. To activate the zone put "ta" or "TA" in the rectangle object description field. Active zone will be marked with a border (border colour can be defined as parameter setting).
Step 5: When zones are set, you can focus on other things and MT4 will alert you when price reaches any of the defined zones. ZoneAlert can generate both MT4 alert or mobile (Android/iOS) notification.
Step 6: The alert is repeated every X seconds, where X is determined by the indicator's parameter. Default value is 60 seconds.
At any time you can modify the rectangle/zone description (to something different than "ta" or "TA") to turn it off. Border line serrounding the zone will disapear.
Easy, isn’t it? ...and so powerful!
